Exciting news! In response to the great feedback we received from you folks through email and on our Facebook page, we will be changing our email frequency to bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) to help all of us with more time and less inbox crowding!

This awesome video and youtube channel by Cecilia Blomdahl, a woman that lives “on an island close to the North Pole”, really piqued my interest.

And since showing it to my students, it has sparked a rejuvenated sense of curiosity leading to a wonderful place of wanting to learn more about this place and the polar regions in general.

And this, in turn, has led to fantastic research questions, discussions, and journal entries! 

This shows once again that if we look at the world with new eyes, inspiration for reading and writing is everywhere!
